Jack Robinson, Jr. began his career in packaging at just 16 years old with Hoerner Waldorf in Lexington, North Carolina. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Jack was immersed in the packaging industry from an early age, gaining valuable experience in production, sales, service, and management. In October 1994, he used that knowledge to launch Volunteer Box, LLC.
Volunteer Box, LLC, based in Gallatin, Tennessee, began as a full-service corrugated box manufacturer. Over the years, Jack and his team identified a need for specialized shipping protection, particularly for the furniture and appliance industries. In response, they developed Tuff Angle edge protectors. These proprietary protectors have proven to be highly effective and reliable in both manufacturing and shipping environments.
Providing solutions for next generation packaging.
When creating our edge protectors, versatility was key. Tuff Angle can be used inside a box to provide reinforcement, as an air cell for cushioning, and to provide strength for stacking in the warehouse. They also work outside the box for strapping or for additional protection from handling. Tuff Angle can even be used in an “open pack” — with no box at all. This allows the manufacturer to save on packaging costs and gives the customer the chance to see the product before buying.
